“When a client leaves my chair I want the expression on her face to say, “I’m special and I am confident.” The added bonus for me is the smile the diva wears as she walks out the salon back into the world.
Gina Barnes has been a hair stylist for over twenty five years and hasn’t missed a beat yet. She began doing hair as a little girl with her dolls; little did she know that one of her childhood pastimes would turn into a luxurious career in the beauty industry. Gina credits her ability to stay focus to her family with a strong background in entrepreneurship, education, and cosmetology. Celeste Jones, her high school cosmetology instructor first saw the blossoming gift for hair styling in her along with her old school mentors that taught her the tools of the trade. She also says the reason she has stayed in the beauty industry for so long is because of her passion for the business and a wonderful clientele she has been blessed with over these years.

Reneé N. McGuire is not just a Nail Technician. She is a woman who asked God to help her transform her hands and feet. She has always wanted to help people be confident in showing their hands and feet. She has over twenty years of working in the beauty industry. She became an Advanced Nail Technician with Medinail in 2013. She is now enrolled in a program to be a Medical Nail Technician, which she will complete in the Fall of 2021. “Not only do I want the nails to look good, I want them to be healthy.”

Aundrea James has been a licensed esthetician for six years, passionately serving her clients with care, skill, and dedication. Although it felt like a long journey before discovering her true calling, everything changed in 2018 when she enrolled in esthetics school—she knew instantly that she had found her purpose. Since then, Aundrea has built lasting relationships with incredible clients, always putting their satisfaction first.

April James
April James, owner of Anointed Hands Salon, is a licensed cosmetologist and certified loctician with over 30 years of experience. Her love of hair began watching her stepmom press and curl hair in the kitchen, and after styling her own hair in third grade, she knew she had found her calling.
April is dedicated not only to creating beautiful styles from roller sets and press-and-curl to microlocs and traditional locs but also to maintaining hair health for clients of all ages, including little ones starting at age one.
She believes great hair builds confidence and reflects the care she brings to every service.

Marisa Knox
As a Master stylist, Marisa J. Knox keeps her skills sharp, ready, and on trend while insisting that haircare remains to be the foundation of her 25+ year career as a beauty professional. Haircutting, custom haircoloring, creative hairstyling, and various extension installation techniques are but a few of her specialties. Clients can also rely on her prescribed treatment plans to improve damaged hair, growth potential, as well as the challenge of minor scalp issues. Educating her clients is a unique part of her process, which leads to high-level and satisfying results. As a force in the beauty industry, Marisa’s ambitions are still rooted in passion as she believes that “Beauty on the outside is nothing without the beauty within.”
